If you are having any problems with the Apple TV app check if your TV needs a firmware update confirm you have a good internet connection and then if youre still having trouble contact Apple support. The inoperable unit also worked great once upon a time until about a month ago. If you have an older Apple Remote replace the internal coin battery. I understand that its not supported for some reason but there has to be a clear reason why.
